Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and improve function. This is done by inserting sterilized, stainless-steel needles (that are as fine as a human hair) into specific points located near or on the surface of the skin which have the ability to alter various biochemical and physiological conditions in order to treat a wide variety of illnesses.

Traditional Chinese Medicine views a person as an energy system in which body and mind are unified, each influencing and balancing the other. Unlike Western medicine which attempts to isolate and separate a disease from a person, Chinese Medicine emphasizes a holistic approach that treats the whole person.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy stimulates skin, blood and lymphatic systems, which boosts circulation, aids in cellular renewal and removes toxic wastes. As tense muscles relax, stiff joints loosen, and the nervous system is soothed it results in feelings of relaxation and well-being. Our therapists primarily use Swedish massage and myofascial release techniques in their treatments.


Physiotherapy

Treatments are primarily hands-on and involve a combination of myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and orthopaedic manual therapy (including joint mobilizations and muscle energy techniques). Common immediate results are improved sleep, less anxiety, and better focus.

Neuroptimal training uses a non-directive, non-invasive software program. With this system, the client listens to music while wearing sensors on their scalp and ears. Interruptions in the music correspond with brain activity that is less than optimal. The interruptions remind the brain to return to its optimal functioning.
